This fourth passage of six on God’s Love is, in many ways, the most profound.

Romans 5:5 says,  “And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.”

God is saying that the Holy Spirit poured His perfect Love into our hearts when we became Christians.  Guess where that loved landed in our hearts?  Yes, it landed in that part of our heart called love.

His Love stirred our love to new life.  The dictionaries and Christian scholars say that love is the feeling of intense affection and deep devotion.   God’s Love has done that.

Take a moment to feel that intense affection and deep devotion of God’s Love in your heart.  Ask Him to fill your heart with it.  This is true spiritual renewal.  Agape changed my life.  It continues to do so.

The Love of our life is not our-self, nor even our spouse.  The Love of our life is God who so Loved us.

Paul tells us to seek and hold on to God’s Love – Agape.  I have and it has changed me.

How about you?
