Why Not Make Your Church Better?

We get so lost in making our church better.  A new this or that program will turn things around, we are told.  Just be like the church down the street and you will be better (whatever that may be), or so goes the thinking.  But the lingering question is, “why isn’t God sending more people to our church?”

What if being better were as easy as the spiritual renewal brought by recognizing and seeking God’s Love with the help of the very easy to follow Agape Plan?

The Agape Plan aims to bring the church back to its roots.

Think of it as A Stewardship Plan for your Church’s Heart and Spiritual Renewal for your Church’s Soul.  The result is:  Christians – A People of Agape Love and Churches – A Place of Agape Love!

“They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.”

“And all those who had believed were together and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need.”

“Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God…

…and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.” –Acts 2:41-47 NASB

This first church was made better because they sought the presence of God’s Love – Agape.

If God’s Love (Agape) is recognized, made a part of the life and culture of the church, and continually sought, it will mend the tears in your church family, knit your church into one and join (acting like a ligament) you together in the vision of Jesus – showing the full extent of Agape love to everyone.

That makes for a better church.

This culture of your church will be like the Acts 2 church:

  • Devoted to the Lord’s Teaching
  • Awe and Sense of the Holy Spirit’s Presence
  • Expression of Agape Love both inside and outside the church
  • One without division
  • Know their unique spiritual gifting by the Holy Spirit
  • Respect from People outside your church
  • The Lord adding to your church

The Agape Plan is the way to do something that really will bring your church back to where Jesus wanted it to be:  Christians – A People of Agape Love and Churches – A Place of Agape Love!  Your church will become a place where God’s Love is felt and lived.  It will make your ministry a blessing because the church will be of one heart and one mind!
