This Bible passage is number two on the list of six essential Agape passages.

Here is the full quote: “The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.  I will build you up and you will be rebuilt.'” (Jeremiah 31:3-4a NIV-1984)

This quote implies that God knows how miserable we are without Him.  It also implies how lost and far away from God we feel because of sin.  God comforts our heart by saying, unreservedly, that He loves us.

He drew us close to Him with His love filled kindness.  He keeps us close to Him. Every Christian knows this and has experienced His great Love.

His love is everlasting – always has been and always will be.  We see this everyday of our life.

God spoke to me through this passage at a time when I felt far away from Him and totally unworthy.  He was good to His promise also.  He rebuilt me and built me up!

I hope God’s Love touches your heart.
