There are six Bible passages that are important in order to know and feel God’s Love – Agape.

We begin with number one on the list from 1 John 4: 16, “God is Love.”

This deepest of divine mysteries is revealed to us by the Holy Spirit, yet remains unknown to our sinful world because they have turned their backs to God.

Love, say the dictionaries and Christian scholars, is an intense feeling of affection or devotion to someone.

God is more than a feeling.  He is Love.  How this can be has not been revealed to us.  He calls His Love “Agape.”

Agape is weakly defined by Christians as unconditional love.  It is better defined by the biblical words of faithful (Psalm 89:24) and everlasting (Jeremiah 31:3).

God is faithful and everlasting Love.  That’s a whole lot better than unconditional, isn’t it?
